Craig’s List is so last year!

If you have the job of renting vacant apartments, and you are not using Twitter as one of your tools, you are doing yourself and your clients a disservice.  Today Twitter is FULL of leasing agents repping their buildings.  If you want to see some examples, check out @RealEstateWatch on Twitter as it watches the real estate Twitter users.

First create an appropriate Twitter name.  We recommend some combination of your company name with apartments or the community name (e.g. CompanyName_ApartmentsForRent).  If you like, break down your listings by location or unit size so your prospects can zero in on the apartment type they are interested in.  You could also break it down by zip code.  The options are endless.  Then Twitter your available apartments in real time.  Your watchers will get your updates and when there is a match, you’ll get a call from them asking for an appointment to see the Twittered about apartment!
