Web 2.0 is all about communication and choice. It is important to provide your prospective renters choice on how you communicate with them.

While some apartment hunters will be happy to proactively check your web site, others will want to receive weekly communication via email by signing up for an email list;butothers, the Twitterholics, will want to receive their communication through Twitter.

Use Twitter to alert Apartment Hunters of your Available Apartments. Interested members of the apartment hunting public can “follow” your Twitter apartment account(s) and receive timely alerts of your new listings or pricing changes. Instead of answering the question “what are you doing”, provide short, mini-descriptions of the available listing, with a link to the unit’s personalized web page at your Internet site.
