I am going to move shortly. I recently pulled out my lease and learned that the lease says I must give 60 days notice. Is that OK? Isn't 30 days more typical?

It is up to the Landlord which verbiage will be in the lease. Yes, they can require 60 days notice and bill you for rent accordingly. Ask about the notice policy when signing your next lease.
