MRU provides easy to understand property management advice focused on the small to mid-size residential housing provider in California.  MRU is dedicated to providing property owners and managers access to best practice advice, forms, sample policies, product news, tools and reviews.  MRU property management advice is geared to the building owner or manager of 1 to 20 residential units.  However owners and managers of larger portfolios will find the content useful as well.

Introducing Snap Shots from Snap.com
MRU has installed a nice little tool on this site called Snap Shots that enhances links with visual previews of the destination site, interactive excerpts of Wikipedia articles, MySpace profiles, IMDb profiles and Amazon products, display inline videos, RSS, MP3s, photos, stock charts and more.

Sometimes Snap Shots bring you the information you need, without your having to leave the site, while other times it lets you “look ahead,” before deciding if you want to follow a link or not.

Should you decide this tool is not for you, just click the Options icon in the upper right corner of the Snap Shot and opt-out.

Status Report

Everything is moving forward and much progress has been made, even with a part-time staff.  The Shortcuts are bountiful and full of surprises.  Our Outsider Blogs are feeding into the site.  Our Daily News feeds are working.  You won’t be disappointed as there is a lot to read and digest.

We are making our lists of companies and services to review.  I am working on our Jott review now.  If you are an owner with units but little or no staff, you will be delighted to learn that for a reasonable price you can have your own assistant named Jott!  We are also getting are systems in place to test RentOmatic, an on-line payment solution with maintenance and advertising compentents.

We have also made progress in our content.  More pages are added each week.  If you have not already joined we hope you will consider becoming a MRU member.  There is no cost, obligation or risk, so what do you have to lose? 

Remember to manage your property, don’t let your property manage you!
